How it Works (Canva)
1. Open the Canva link, replace photos, edit name/dates, colors & fonts.
2. Duplicate and size layers as desired (ex: 3.5”, 3”, 2.5”).
3. Export PNG (transparent) or PDF at 100% / “Actual Size.”
4. Print on cardstock. Let ink dry before cutting.

Assembly
Hand-Cut Method
1. Print and cut each butterfly layer.
2. For dimension, curl wings gently over a pen/pencil.
3. Stack largest → smallest using foam dots or a thin bead of hot glue.
4. Glue a bar pin horizontally on the back near the body. Hold 30–60 sec; let E6000 cure a few hours.
5. (Optional) Laminate before cutting for durability.
Cricut: Print-then-Cut (clean edges)
1. Upload PNG to Design Space → Complex. Remove background if needed.
2. Add a small Offset (0.05”–0.1”) for a neat cut → Flatten (so it prints then cuts).
3. Material: Medium cardstock (80–100 lb). Mat: LightGrip (blue) or Standard (green for thicker card).
4. Print with “Bleed” ON, then Cut.
5. Curl wings and stack with foam dots/hot glue.
6. On the back, glue a bar pin. Pro tip: glue a tiny cardstock rectangle to the pin first, then glue that patch onto the butterfly—adds strength so it won’t pop off.
